Week 3 reflection: Search Engines & ABCD Style

In this module, we had the opportunity to look into web searching and share our knowledge. Our task was to explore the advantages and disadvantages of various web search engines, allowing our friends to make informed choices for their teaching lessons. During this process, I was introduced to several websites I hadn't previously known about, such as Ecosia, Quora, DuckDuckGo, Yandex, and more.

Additionally, we have learned the ABCD Style: Audience, Behavior, Conditions, and Degree. This style provided valuable insights into crafting objectives effectively. Our teacher encouraged us to familiarize ourselves with this approach, create our own objectives, and share them with our classmates on Saturday. We were randomly assigned to groups where we could exchange ideas and assist one another in refining our objectives.

While reviewing my classmates' objectives, it became evident that we were all following to the guidelines, but our choice of words needed improvement. Ninh, a fellow student, generously shared a list of words that could enhance the quality of our objectives, which proved to be incredibly helpful.

By the end of our discussions, we had a much clearer understanding of how to craft better objectives. We then back in the classroom, where each group's moderator presented our findings to the teacher. I could see that many students shared our appreciation for the ABCD style. Our teacher patiently addressed our questions and concluded the lesson on a positive note. I'm looking forward to more engaging lessons like this in the future.
